SANTA CATERINA HERMITAGE

The Santa Caterina Hermitage is set in an isolated and almost inaccessible place, on the Lombardy side of the lake, facing Arona.
It’s reachable only by boat or by a mule track which starts in Reno di Leggiuno.
This hermitage, of great artistic and spiritual interest, is formed by: the southern Convent, the Conventino and the Church which houses the chapel of Santa Caterina and dates back to the 13th century.
